David N. Hurd (b. 1937 in Hancock, New York) is a federal judge for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York. Judge Hurd graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in 1959 and from Syracuse University College of Law with a J.D. in 1963. He was nominated to the court by President Bill Clinton on February 12, 1999, to a seat vacated by Constantine George Cholakis, confirmed by the United States Senate on September 13, 1999, and received his commission on September 22, 1999.
He is a contributing member of the Honor Roll of ILR Donors [1] for Cornell University and has presided as a judge for the Cuccia Cup Moot Court Competition at Cornell Law School.[2]
