David Ibbetson is Regius Professor of Civil Law at the University of Cambridge.[1]. He is also Chairman of the University's Faculty of Law and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where he serves as Warden of Leckhampton, the College's site for postgraduate students.
Ibbetson is a Roman lawyer, but his research also covers the history of English and European law. He was elected to the British Academy in 2003.[2]
