David "Dai" Morgan Davies is a former professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s and '30s who at representative level has played for Wales, and at club level for Broughton Rangers, Warrington, Huddersfield, and Keighley, playing at Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 7.[1] Dai Davies was on the losing side in four Challenge Cup finals with three separate clubs; Warrington (1928 & 1933), Huddersfield (1935), and Keighley (1937).

Challenge Cup final appearances

Dai Davies played in Warrington's 3-5 defeat to Swinton in the 1927-28 Challenge Cup final at Central Park, Wigan on 16 April 1928, and scored two tries in Warrington's 17-21 defeat to Huddersfield in the 1932-33 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 6 May 1933, and played in Huddersfield's 8-11 defeat to Castleford in the 1934-35 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 4 May 1935, and in Keighley's 5-18 defeat to Widnes in the 1936-37 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 2 May 1937.[3]
