Career

Born in Mosman Park, Crawford began playing football with the Mosman Park JFC. He attended Aquinas College, where he played in the First XVIII for two years. Crawford also featured in a number of Claremont development squads.[1] He represented Western Australia at the 2001 National Under-18 Championships, and also played for the state under-19 volleyball team.[2]

Crawford made his senior debut for Claremont against West Perth at Newdegate in round 13, 2002. He played a further three games in 2002, and nine in 2003, before gaining a more regular spot in 2004, when he played 16 games, including the grand final loss to Subiaco.[3] In 2006, he played 22 games, kicking 58 goals playing mainly at centre half-forward, which included three six-goal and one eight-goal hauls. Crawford played in losing grand finals in both 2007 and 2008, before taking a year off from football to travel in 2009.

He returned to football for the 2010 season, again playing in a losing grand final. Crawford played his 150th WAFL game for Claremont in July 2011, receiving life membership in the process.[4] He played at centre half-back in Claremont's Grand Final win over Subiaco, and also played three Foxtel Cup games for Claremont, including the grand final loss to Williamstown.

Crawford has degrees in both law and commerce and currently works as a chartered accountant for Gooding Partners.[5]
