David C. Garrett, Jr. (born 1922) is an American businessman. He received his undergraduate degree from Furman University and was a 1955 graduate of the Georgia Tech College of Management[1] and the CEO of Delta Air Lines from 1978 to 1987.[2] Garrett won the Tony Jannus Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Scheduled Air Transportation in 1983.[3] He is a veteran of World War II.[4] Furman University has an endowed chair in their Economics Department named in his honor.
