Danny Green (footballer)
Danny Green (born 9 July 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Charlton Athletic.
Career
Green started his career as a youth player for Charlton Athletic before being let go at the age of 15. Green then signed for Northampton Town earning his first professional contract but moved to Nottingham Forest a year later. In 2008 Green was released by Forest and signed for Conference South club Bishop's Stortford.[1]
He signed for Dagenham & Redbridge in May 2009 on a free transfer.[2][3] Green made his debut in a League Two match against Crewe Alexandra on 8 August, in their 2–1 away win.[4] He was replaced in the 75th minute as a substitute for Wesley Thomas.[4] He scored 14 goals from midfield including a great goal at Wembley to help Dagenham to promotion to the Football League One. He also managed around 14 assists from midfield. On 25 July 2010, he and team mate Scott Doe committed themselves to Dagenham, by signing new three year contracts.
