Plot

Eight teenagers go out on a weekend boat trip on a remote lake in Southern California only to have it turn into a nightmare when they are stalked by an extremely large, monstrous man-eating crocodile after they disturb its nest. That night, Hubs (Greg Wayne) is eaten by the crocodile after stealing one of its eggs, and hiding it in Claire (Caitlin Martin)'s backpack, letting the untied boat adrift. The local Sheriff (Harrison Young) finds Hubs' severed hand the next day and is suspecting a local alligator farmer, Shurkin, of setting one of the alligators loose.

Later, the teens wake up in the middle of a swamp and can not find Hubs. Claire wants to leave without them because she is mad at her boyfriend, Brady (Mark McLachlan), thinking him to be having an affair with Sunny (Summer Knight), but she stays. A local Fisherman finds Hubs' severed head and reports it to the sheriff. Shurkin says that the bite marks on Hubs' head match a crocodile's bite mark and also points out that he does not raise crocodiles so he and the sheriff goes out on a hunt for the crocodile.

While going out to find Hubs, Sunny and Brady get tired and stop to rest and Sunny seduces Brady into swimming nude with her. But before he gets into the water, the crocodile attempts to eat Sunny but fails. The crocodile follows them back to the boat and attempts to eat Duncan (Cris Solari), but he escapes on to the boat in time. While trying to kill it, Foster (Rhett Jordan) is eaten and the rest run in to the woods and are followed by the crocodile and Sunny is also eaten. The rest of the teens hide in a local store but the crocodile followed them and eats Annabelle (Julie Mintz).

While fighting the crocodile, Duncan is bitten, and the crocodile starts a fire that lights the gas tank of a truck that Kit (Doug Reiser) attempted to hot wire causing the truck to explode, killing Kit. Brady, Duncan and Claire are the only survivors and are saved by the sheriff and shurkin. Soon after saving them, the sheriff and shurkin are brutally killed and eaten by the crocodile forcing them to swim to the shore. They decide to kill the crocodile instead of running from it using Brady 's pocket knife and some sharp rocks.

While trying to find something to use in Claire's bag, they find the egg and decide to give the reptile its egg. While it comes for its egg, Duncan jumps on the crocodile and tries to kill it, but he is swallowed by the crocodile. Right before trying to eat Brady, the crocodile vomits Duncan after spraying his indigestible bug spray in its stomach. The crocodile takes its egg from Claire and swims back to its nest. Living Claire, Duncan, Brady and the dog alive.
