William H. Crocker Middle School is a public middle school located in Hillsborough, California, a suburb about 20 miles (32 km) south of San Francisco, as part of the Hillsborough City School District. Other schools in this district include South, North and West Elementary Schools. There is no high school in the Hillsborough School District, so students move on to one of three high schools in San Mateo and Burlingame after graduation. 2009 was Crocker's 37th anniversary in the Fly Offs, and 50th anniversary for the whole school. Crocker has continually grown during the 50 years it has served the children of Hillsborough including the inauguration of a new building in 2009.
William H. Crocker Middle School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon Award from the United States Department of Education, the highest honor that an American school can achieve, on four separate occasions: 1982–83, 1988–89, 1995–96[1] and again during the 2004–05 school year.[2] Also, principal Janet Chun received the "Non - Community Care Award" for being the most caring and helpful faculty member in the Hillsborough, California School district.
