Cleja (Hungarian: Klézse) (Klézse) is a commune in Bacău County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Cleja, Somuşca (Somoska) and Valea Mică (Pokolpatak).
In 2002, the commune had a population of 6864: 97.5% ethnic Romanians, 1.6% Hungarians, 0.8% Csangos, 0.1% others. 97.8% of residents were Roman Catholic, 1.6% Romanian Orthodox and 0.2% Pentecostal.
