Citébeur is a French gay pornographic film studio specializing in producing ethnic-based gay adult films. Citébeur has been a pioneer in the promotion of films featuring men of color and men of various ethnicities (Arabs, Latins, blacks, Eastern Europeans) rather than mainstream gay white males.

It's name Citébeur means "Beur city" using the French term beur, a colloquial term to designate French-born people whose parents are immigrants from North Africa (mainly Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya). The word was coined by reversing the syllables of the word "Arabe" in French (Arab in English).

Citébeur films are based on clichés and fetishes of men of ethnic background: big size, well-endowed genitals, urban style clothing, poor neighborhoods, dangerous liaisons in poor suburbs of large cities, interracial sexual relations, thus popularising such imagery amogst the homosexual population and promoting greater visibility and a more positive attitude towards minorities of ethnic background. This also helped in empowering persons who suffer from double discrimination because of being both gay and being of ethnic backgrounds, in sharp contrast with American gay pornographic studios featuring stars that are prominently blond, muscular, clean-cut and with hairless bodies. Thus the company's products have found a niche in the world of erotic art.

Citébeur has developed several specialized themes with many resulting in a series of films. These themes include:

Citébeur has been the launchpad for a number of aspiring porn actors who achieved fame and notoriety after working at Citébeaur. Porn star François Sagat is the most notable of those pornographic actors. Sagat was recruited by the company and made his debut there,[1] becoming in a short period of time, one of the most prominent French international gay adult stars and moving to more well-established companies like Raging Stallion Studios and Titan Media. During his debut at Citébeur, Sagat initially used his screen name Azzedine before reverting back to his real name François Sagat.

Citébeur in agreement with Syndicat national des entreprises gaies (SNEG) has been also promoting fashionable series of public awareness advertisements for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in its series of Boris et Nadir.[2] Many of the Citébeur porn actors give their time to take part in these series.[3] The 9 ads in French with subtitled versions in English and Spanish to date are (English titles in parenthesis):

  1. La Grosse Déprime (Feeling Down)
  2. Il faut sauver le Soldat Boris (Some Things Get Out of Hand)
  3. Dans le jus (Low in Juice)
  4. En flag (Red Handed)
  5. Trois Mois (Three Months)
  6. Plan Love (Plan Love)
  7. Les P'tits Papiers (Little Papers)
  8. Le Doute (Doubt)
  9. Dialogue de sourds (Like Talking to a Wall)

In 2008, Citébeur Studios won the Best Black/Latino Gay Film Award for Matos de Blackoss 3 at the European Gay Porn Awards 2008 (EGPA).[4]
