Cinenacional.com is a web portal and web-based database about Argentine cinema.
The site provides a vast array of information, including: films, television programs, directors, actors, cinematographers, film editors, production designers, and other production professions in Argentina. It is the most comprensive site for information about the film industry in the country and has over 30,000 IMDB-type articles on films alone in its database (since the silent era).
The management team was organized in August 2000, and went on-line on June 9, 2001.
The site is supported by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA), the official governmental organ that regulates the cinema industry in Argentina.
It has been declared of cultural interest by the Buenos Aires government (resolution # 136/2006).
Its content is currently available in Spanish, and in English (argentinafilms.com).
