Christopher Clarke (Born 25 January 1990, London) is an English sprinter who numerously has represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at junior and senior level. At club level he represents Marshall Milton Keynes AC and is also higher claim to Newham and Essex Beagles A.C.[1] Between 2003-2008 he was educated at Denbigh School and Denbigh School Sixth Form in Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes.[2] Christopher is also an accomplished Pianist and studied briefly at Loughborough College as a tag on to his Athletic training.
During the 2006 Beijing World Junior Athletics Championships he won a bronze medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay.[3] In 2007 he finished first in the 400 meters final of the World Youth Championships to win the gold medal.[4] On July 24th 2009 Chris won two Gold medals (400m, 4x400m) at the European Junior Championships in a new PB of 45.59 seconds, demolishing the field by over a second. 2010 saw Chris compete at his first senior athletics championship as part of the 4x400m relay team who later went on to claim a bronze medal. In 2011 the GB relay team qualified for the final with 3:00.38 (Chris running 44.99 split). The team later went on to finish seventh in 3:01.16. [5]
Christopher has personal bests of 45.59s in 400m meters (2009), 10.45s in 100 meters (2007) and 20.87s in 200 meters (2007).[6]
