Chokra
CHOKRA is an interdisciplinary performance artist from the United Arab Emirates. CHOKRA's recent appearances include N/A v0.0[1] (SALT Artspace, New York, 2009), Studio B-last (International Studios & Curatorial Program, New York, 2010) and Al-Mtsaalh Haal (The Trucial Case) [2] (The Watermill Center - a laboratory for performance, New York 2010).[3]
CHOKRA has been featured in The Southampton Press [4], The Southampton Patch [5], ArtAsiaPacific[6] and Domus[7] Magazine. Recent screenings of his video work "Satie to D" and "Divers" were featured on the online database of video art titled SanctionedArray, New York City, October 2010[8] and screened at Queering Sex curated by Kathryn Garcia and Sarvia Jasso, Human Resources, Los Angeles, June 2011[9]
