In this episode, Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the case of a Chinese immigrant mother of two who was shot dead from behind in public.
Starting from zero, Goren and Eames interview the victim's husband and a street vendor, who gives them an important clue to guide their hunt of the shooter. While on the trail of the suspect, they surmise that he was someone she recognized from the Tiananmen Square massacre. Nevertheless, further evidence leads them to a counterfeiting operation and priceless major art antiquities smuggled from China.
The list of suspects include a forged documents expert, a shipping agent, a wealthy old woman, and an actor who puts the detectives on the trail of an important official document. Then, Goren and Eames soon learn that the proper way to resolve the case might lie in who is receiving the juicy profit, even if their prime suspect does not fits the typical criminal profile.
