The Chenouas are a Berber ethnic group living in the region of Tipaza (Algeria), they speak the Chenoua language. The term Chenoua has on the other hand been spread for some other closely related Berbers as far as near Western Algeria ( such as the Chlef region etc...)
The Chenoui language which is a Northern Berber language is closely related to the Shawiya language spoken by Berbers of the Aures mountains in Eastern Algeria.
