Chegunta (Telugu: చేగుంట) is the Mandal Headquarters by its own in name in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the NH7 about 62km from state capital Hyderabad. It is also the train line between Secunderabad-Nizamabad-Mumbai with Famous station named "Wadiaram".

It is famous for Sri Venkateshwara Temple, Sri Hanuman Temple and Sri kanyaka Parmeshwari Temple. It is also near to the famous Chandampet village known for pearl works in Andhra Pradesh.Here many industrial companies are established at Wadiaram and Reddypally.

Chegunta means six ponds in its local language, Telugu. However, we can not see those ponds today. A famous shopping complex - "Narasimha Complex" is located in the heart of the town, Gandhi Statue Chowrasta.

The famous Temple of "Hanuman" was re-constructed by the Teegala family (Teegala Bhoomalingam Goud (Deputy Cane Commissioner) & Theegala Raghupathy Goud (D.S.P. Anti Corruption Bureau, Andhra Pradesh). Teegala Ramulu Goud heads the family of the present generation. Theegala Venkat goud Ex. MPTC, Chegunta, is famous for his political approach and dynamic personality among the poor to the rich THIS IS OUT SIDE LOOK.
