Charles Carroll Middle School, (CCMS, The New Charles Carroll Middle School) is an intermediate school located in New Carrollton, Maryland. It is a part of the Prince George's County Public Schools district.
The school was named after lawyer and politician Charles Carroll. As of 2010 the school principal is Dr. Eric Wood. Average annual enrollment is approximately 800 students. 81% of students are African American, 14% Hispanic, 3% are Caucasian, and 2% are identified as Asian / Pacific Islander. 58.8% of the students qualify for the government-sponsored free or reduced lunch program, in contrast to 45.3% within the district, and a 30.7% statewide average.

Named after Charles Scott Carroll, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, this school was established in a new housing development in 1959. The school is currently home to over 1,000 students who come from 5 communities and 14 countries. Sixth graders started coming to the school the 2010-2011 school year.
On April 14, 2010 Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor visited Charles Carroll Middle School to talk and meet with the students and the principal to talk about her life and career. She is the first such person to visit the school and this was the first school she has visited.
CCMS has a Talented and Gifted/Honors Program.
The school has a mandatory school uniform policy that was established in the 2005-2006 school year. The shirt color is green for 7th graders, white for 8th graders, and gray for sixth graders. The uniform pants are tan khakis. [1]
