History

Cartus was formerly known as Cendant Mobility, a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation. On July 31, 2006, Cendant Corporation spun off its businesses into four entities.[4] The Real Estate Services group of Cendant Corporation became Realogy Corporation. Cendant Mobility, formerly part of the Cendant Corporation Real Estate Services Group, was renamed to Cartus Corporation as a result of the retirement of the Cendant brand.[5]. In 2007, Realogy was acquired by Apollo Management, a private equity firm, for $9 billion. In 2010, Cartus acquired the well-respected worldwide relocation services firm Primacy Relocation. With this acquisition, Cartus now manages the relocations of more than 140,000 customers annually.
