Canditv (candy-tv) is software developed by Data Driven Logistics, based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in the UK.

Contents

Overview

Canditv utilises a standard mobile phone to interact with content displayed on any public video display in order to deliver content to the customer. This content could be tourism information, games, conference and events information, public service information or retail advertising. By dialling a number that is displayed on screen, the customer can interact with the displayed content via the appropriate keypress on their phone. This has advantages over standard mobile-phone web surfing by allowing a richer video display than is possible on a standard mobile phone display.

Study

Canditv is currently being studied by students at Staffordshire University. As part of a collaborative scholarship with Staffordshire University, Canditv is being developed to create a new way to interact with the public.

Awards

Sponsorship

Canditv sponsors a British cycling (Pinarello canditv rt) team that saw much success during the tours of Britain and Ireland in 2008.[5][6]
