Camille (1917) is a silent film based on the 1852 novel and play La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas, fils, adapted by Adrian Johnson, directed by J. Gordon Edwards, and starring Theda Bara as Marguerite Gauthier. The film was made by Fox Film Corporation when it and many other early film studios in were based in Fort Lee, New Jersey at the beginning of the 20th century.[1][2][3] The film is now considered to be a lost film.[4]
