Caiapobrycon tucurui is a species of characin fish endemic to the Tocantins River basin in Brazil. A tropical freshwater fish, it is the only member of the Caiapobrycon genus, and is named for the town of Tucuruí. C. tucurui grows to a maximum length of 4.5 centimetres (1.8 in).
