CFWD-FM (branded as Wired 96.3) is a radio station in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The station broadcasts at 96.3 FM and plays a contemporary hit radio format. Licensed to Harvard Broadcasting on May 28, 2007,[1] the station was originally scheduled to launch on 92.3 FM. However, it applied for a change of frequency to 96.3 FM, citing the potential for third-adjacent interference to CKBL.[2][3]

On April 9, 2008, the station began broadcasting Christmas music and running station IDs calling itself "Santa FM - Saskatoon's #1 Christmas music station" in a stunt format leading up to the actual launch of the station. The campaign included publicists dressed in Santa costumes and parading on 8th Street in Saskatoon with large signs and sticker giveaways. On April 11, 2008, the station launched as Wired 96.3 with a contemporary hit radio format.

DJs/Hosts

Wired 96.3 FM currently has a total of 6 hosts and Dj's: Ryder, Brandy, DJ Anchor, Carnage, DJ Matt Fossey and Mel. Following the departure of Marc Michaels to Vibe 98.5 in Calgary, former Saskatoon announcer Mark Morris made the jump into the Wired Morning Show with Cassie and Blake. After Cassie quit the morning show due to unknown reasons in June 2009, Brandy shortly teamed up with Mark for the morning show. The schedule was followed by Blake and Trouble in the afternoons. Kaylene did work at night and weekends as well. Mark Morris and Bender left abruptly from the station. Producer "Sweatervest" joined Brandy in the mornings (which was re-branded as "The Big Show") for a short time before leaving the station. After a short stint of Brandy doing the show on her own, Ryder was added to the line-up and "The Big Show with Ryder and Brandy" aired until May 2010. Brandy has moved to Sonic 102.9 in Edmonton, and Ryder holds down the morning show by himself.

After the departure of Blake Carter to Amp Radio in Calgary and DJ Trouble to 91.7 The Bounce in Edmonton, Wired was revamped by adding some new talents to their Team; Floyd joined DJ Anchor and Woody worked the evening show but soon left the station to work for a competitor station in Saskatoon. He is no longer working in Saskatchewan. Scottish presenter and former Real Radio mainstay, Paul "Carnage" Carlin arrived at the station in February 2011 and is the current afternoon host.
