Clarence Woods Johnston, M.C., M.D. (November 19, 1888 - October 13, 1949) served as the fourteenth mayor of the Village of Elkhorn.

Born in Newmarket, Ontario, Johnston grew up in Morden, Manitoba and attended the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1914. He enlisted in the Canadian Army Medical Corps in 1916 and was awarded the Military Cross at the Battle of Ypres. He was discharged in July, 1919 and purchased the medical practice in Elkhorn from Dr. Robert Goodwin.[1]
