Byglandsfjord is a village in the southern part of the municipality of Bygland in the Aust-Agder county, Norway. The village is in the valley of Setesdal and located at the end of the lake Byglandsfjorden. Its population (2009) is 351.[1]
The highest point in its surroundings is the 762-metre (2,500 ft) tall Årdalsknaben, while Byglandsfjord itself is about 200 metres (660 ft) above sea level. Byglandsfjord is located about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of the village of Evje. The village is a transportation hub, where transport on sea and land connects. The terminal station of the now defunct railway line Setesdalsbanen was here.
The steamboat D/B Bjoren travels on the Byglandsfjorden between the villages of Byglandsfjord, Bygland, and Ose during the summer months.
