Busolwe is a town in Eastern Uganda. It is one of the two municipalities in Butaleja District, the other municipality being Butaleja, the location of the district headquarters.

Busolwe is located approximately 47 kilometres (29 mi), by road, southwest of Mbale, the largest city in the sub-region.[1] The coordinates of the town are:00 50 57N, 33 55 37E (Latitude:0.8490; Longitude:33.9270).
The Uganda Bureau of statistics estimates the 2011 mid-year population of Busolwe at 8,500.[2]
