Burson is an unincorporated community in Calaveras County, California. It lies at an elevation of 413 feet (126 m). Burson was founded along the San Joaquin and Sierra Nevada Railroad, and named for Daniel Smith Burson, a farmer and Civil War veteran.[2] Burson's first post office was established in 1884.[2] Its zip code is 95225.
