Parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria on 18 December 1949.[1] The Fatherland Front was the only organisation to contest the election, and voters had the choice of voting for or against the party, with only 980 of the 4,589,976 votes being cast against. Voter turnout was reportedly 98.9%.[2]
