Redevelopment

The current interchange is a temporary structure, and there are indicative plans for a redevelopment of the bus interchange in the Urban Redevelopment Authority's Master Plan 2003.

In November 2010, the interchange along with the surrounding land were put on the government's Land Sales Programme Reserve List. The site is slated to be developed into a commercial and residential hub with an integrated bus interchange.

The guide provides route details of all bus services that originate from Bukit Panjang Interchange, as well as MRT and LRT services, so that it is more convenient for commuters to plan their journeys using the public transport network. Significant landmarks, places of interest as well as major needs served by the buses are all included, and a destination finder is placed alongside the map to further simplify journey planning for the commuters.
