Buffalo, Kentucky

Buffalo is an unincorporated community in southern LaRue County, Kentucky, United States. It lies along Kentucky Route 61 south of the city of Hodgenville, the county seat of LaRue County.[1] Its elevation is 748 feet (228 m), and it is located at COORDS (37.5120048, -85.6985728).[2] Although Buffalo is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 42716.[3] Hometown of United States Marine, Lance Corporal Matthias Numon Hanson(1990–2010),of 3/6 Bn Marines of Camp Lejeune. Hanson was Killed in Action in Marjah, Afghanistan. Born in Nurenburg Germany, Buried at Perkins Family Cemetery on LCPL HANSON USMC Road.
