Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School is a charter school in Tampa, Florida, founded with support from NFL player Derrick Brooks. It is part of the Hillsborough County Public Schools system.[1]
Brooks–DeBartolo Collegiate High School is a college preparatory school serving students in grades 9-12 in Tampa, FL. The school opened its doors during the 2007-2008 academic school year. The school is located in the Seminole Heights community.
Derrick Brooks co-founded the school along with the DeBartolo Family Foundation. During its first year the school served 183 students in grades 9-11. The school has graduated 100% of all eligible to date. Students have been accepted into schools over the nation including Harvard University, University of South Florida, and University of Florida and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
