The British Journal of Ophthalmology is a peer-reviewed medical journal covering clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations related to ophthalmology. It also provides major reviews and covers regional issues.[1]
The journal was established in 1917 by the amalgamation of the Royal London (Moorfields) Ophthalmic Hospital Reports with the Ophthalmoscope and the Ophthalmic Record.[2] The journal was edited by Stewart Duke-Elder[1] for several years. Currently, Harminder Dua and Arun Singh act as editors-in-chief.
The British Journal of Ophthalmology is indexed on Index Medicus, ISI Current Contents , Excerpta Medica.[1]
