Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder song)
"Breakaway" is the debut single by grime vocalist Tinchy Stryder, which was released as the lead single from hisdebut album, Star in the Hood. It was released on April 9, 2007.[1][2] The song features guest vocals by British singer Funda, and was produced by DaVinChe. The single failed to chart on the UK Singles Chart.
Music video
A music video was made for the song, and was uploaded to Takeover Entertainment Ltd's official YouTube channel on Friday, 2 February 2007, at a total length of three minutes and thirty-three seconds. The video was also shown on British satellite music channel Channel AKA.[3][4] The video was filmed on, Inn Street, in Shoreditch, North London, UK. It is set in computer-generated imagery, and finds Stryder chopping out his rhymes over synths beats about a relationship with a girl, then the scene changes into a black and white set and builds up to Stryder concluding the video with a track change to the song "Not Like Me", which appears as the B-side to "Breakaway". A cameo appearance by Ruff Sqwad is made.[3]
