Brasilodontidae
The brasilodontids include non-mammalian cynodonts that are currently considered to be the sister group of mammals. They were small, the size of a mouse. The brasilodontids' remains were found in the municipalities of Candelária and Faxinal do Soturno. The species, Brasilodon quadrangularis, is known only from Paleorrota. [1] [2] [3][4] [5]
