Bodney is a village in Norfolk, England.
Bodney is recorded in the Domesday Book as Bredenaia.[1] After the Norman Conquest it was held by the de Montfort family. In the fourteenth century Edmund Oldhall (died 1417), father of the statesman Sir William Oldhall, was lord of the manor of Bodney and it passed in turn to William, who sold it to the Priory of Thetford.[1] At the Dissolution of the Monasteries it became Crown property and was granted to the Duke of Norfolk.[1]
