Bob's Red Mill is a brand produced by Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods of Milwaukie, Oregon, United States. The company was established in 1978 by Bob Moore (b. February 15, 1929),[1] a former automobile service center manager, and as of March 2010, had 209 employees.[2]

Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods is one of the most prominent producers of natural and organic milled grain products in North America, billing itself as the "nation's leading miller of diverse whole-grain foods."[3] Its products are distributed throughout the United States and Canada. It produces over 400 products, primarily whole grains that are ground with quartz millstones which come from several 120-year-old mills,[4] as well as beans, seeds, nuts, dried fruits, spices, and herbs.

Although the company does not disclose its exact revenue figures, its annual revenue ranges between US$30 million to $50 million.[3]

The company's headquarters includes a Whole Grain Store and Visitors Center. In June 2007, the company announced that it was moving its administrative headquarters, manufacturing and warehousing facility to a 325,000-square-foot (30,200 m2) building, from its original 130,000-square-foot (12,000 m2) facility, which it plans to sell and sub-lease.[5] Its current manufacturing facility is 82,000 square feet (7,600 m2),[3] and the new facility will triple its manufacturing capacity.[1]

The company's product line includes certified organic and gluten-free foods. It has expanded its distribution into Japan and is beginning distribution in other nations.[3]

In February 2010, owner Bob Moore announced plans to give the company to his employees using an employee stock ownership plan.[2]
