Biskupów [bisˈkupuf] (formerly German Bischofswalde) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głuchołazy, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Głuchołazy, 11 km (7 mi) south of Nysa, and 55 km (34 mi) south-west of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village was the birthplace of Johannes Ronge, an early builder of the denomination of New Catholics. It is also the birthplace of important Baroque Scotist Bernard Sannig.
