Bhanvad has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 76% and female literacy of 60%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.Other sites near Bhanvad are Triveni Sangam a beautiful garden and temple of lord mahadeva, Mountails of Barda is another place where many temples like Goddess of Ashapura Mahadeva temple at kileshver are the sites to see. there is a holi place in bhanvad named 'bhutvad'. It is the mark of two lovers named 'vir mangda valo' and 'sati padmavati'. Vir was died in a battle against his anemy and he couldn't married to sati padmavati. so all people worship them as god.The place bhutvad is very attractive. you will be feel cool after visit this place. There is another place at the end of bhanvad village which is triveni sangam, where three rivers meet together and it is also a tourist place.In shravan month a big fair have been held since many years. There is much importance in bhanvad to celebrate 'satam' of shravan month.The name of 'bhanvad' came to known by the owner of the village 'bhan jethvo'.

Bhanvad has another site of Ghumli which was Capital of Bhan Jethva's Ghumli. Upon King's name Village Bhanvad was named. Bhanvad was Garden for King Bhan Jethva. He built a Temple of Lord Shankar in Ghumli which is called as NAVLAKHO which was ruined & being Re-Build by Archeology Dept. One more place to visit near Bhanvad which is BAPU NI VAV which is situated between Ghumli & Bhanvad, which was built by Saint Trikamacharyaji. There are rooms to stay & due to dry weather its preffered to stay for people who are advised by Doctors to live in dry weather.
