Belkuchi (Bengali: েবলকিুচ) is an Upazila of Sirajganj District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It is famous for handloom cottage industries and Shohagpur Hutt.

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Belkuchi has a population of 245164. Males constitute are 52.49% of the population, and females 47.51%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 116311. Belkuchi has an average literacy rate of 33.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]

Engr. Md. Ajmeer Sharif was born on the 1st January 1982 to a Muslim family in Belkuchi in the village of Duldiar. He is married to Mrs. Shifat Aktar Ajmeer. He started his education at Cantonment Muslim Modern Academy in Dhaka. After completed his HSC and Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Engineering then he took admission Engineering University. In 2004 he has completed his BSc Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineer (Major Telecommunication). His working career began with is employment at Grameen Phone Ltd as Asstt Engineer in the department of quality assurance. After that in the middle of 2006 he joined CACTS Ltd as Asstt Manager in the department of System and Network Support. Presently he is working with highly reputed firm from 2011 to still at AECS Ltd as Project Engineer. AECS ltd is a consultancy firm for Radisson and a sister concern of SEMC Ltd Thailand.
