Belinda
The name Belinda is a common female first name of unknown etymology. It may have been coined from Italian bella "beautiful".[1] Some scholars have speculated that Belinda derives from the Germanic given name Betlindis, or possibly a contracted form of Old High German Betlinde, meaning "bright serpent" or "bright linden tree."[2] It may also be a merge of 'Belle' ["beauty"] and 'Linda' ["pretty"], sometimes translated as "immortal beauty".
