- First person who became MBBS M.D. and later on raised to the post of professor and head and additional principal medical college Rajasthan and worked as professor and head at C.U. Shah Medical College, Surendranagar Gujrat. In middle of his carrier he worked for more than five years as assistant professor in community medicine at Al-Mustansiria University, Bagdad, IRAQ. He has also worked as an internal and external examiner for about one dozen universities. He has participated and chaired the house meeting in number of national and international conferences. He has got about a dozen resech articles of International repute. He was born and brought up in the streets of town and passed his high school examination from Govt. high school. Begun in 1958 with distinction of the level which put his name on the top of the school board "HAMARY VIBHUTIYA". This person is now known as "Dr. Bheru Lal Tamboli". Mr. Rajender Singh Bidhuri is the present MLA of Begun.

Begun is a city and a municipality in Chittaurgarh district in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is also one of the historical town of Chittorgarh district. One of Mewar's important rivers, Brahmani, fllows through Begun. Begun also has a fort which is surrounded by a small river.Shahid Rupaji Karpaji freedom fighter lead "Begun Bijoliya Kisan Andolan" in leadership of Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik.

Begun is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 412 metres (1351 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Begun had a population of 35,678. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Begun has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
