Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture (Mongolian Cyrillic : Баянголын Монгол өөртөө засах жөү, Bayingol means as "rich river"; Chinese: 巴音郭楞蒙古自治州; pinyin: Bāyīnguōlèng Měnggǔ Zìzhìzhōu; Uyghur: بايىنغولىن موڭغۇل ئاپتونوم ئوبلاستى, ULY: Bayingholin Mongghol Aptonom Oblasti)[1], short for Bayingol (Chinese: 巴州; pinyin: Bāzhōu) is an autonomous prefecture of the People's Republic of China. It is the largest autonomous prefecture of China with an area of 462,700 km². The prefectural capital is Korla.
