The Battle of Spokane Plains, was a conflict between United States Army forces under George Wright and members of the Coeur d'Alene, Yakama and Spokane, Native American tribes.[1] It took place on September 5, 1858 near what is present-day Fort George Wright. The United States Army forces were victorious.
