The Battle of Fère-Champenoise was fought on March 25, 1814, between France and armies of Russia and Prussia. The battleground was near the town Fère-Champenoise, 40 km southwest of Châlons-sur-Marne, Marne département. The French were led by Auguste Marmont, while the Coalition forces were led by Karl Philipp Fürst zu Schwarzenberg. Schwarzenberg was victorious.
