Barucboc is a barangay situated at the southern most part of Quezon, Isabela. It has been famous for its name Nursery for it served as the planting ground of the entire town.
Its name came from a myth, a lake located in the center of the barangay is boiling which in the local area is interpreted as Barecbec (an Ilokano word). Since then the variation of the place's name had made, but Barucboc won the hearts of the first settlers.
Today it remains to be the largest barangay in the whole town in terms of population.
