Bamda is a small town in the Nyingchi Prefecture in the south-east of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, roughly 1,000 km from Lhasa. It is basically an army garrison with a small Tibetan village around the corner.[1]
It lies at an altitude of 4,400 metres. The village is located 22 km east of Qoiden and about 32 km from the border with Sichuan.
