Bamboula

A bamboula is a kind of drum made from a section of giant bamboo with skin stretched over the ends.[1] It is also a secular dance accompanied by the drums. Both were brought to the Americas (notably New Orleans and the Virgin Islands) by African slaves.[2][3][4]
