Balandız (Gümüşlü) is a village in Silifke district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated in Toros Mountains . At it is 22 kilometres (14 mi) to Silifke and 105 kilometres (65 mi) to Mersin. The population of Balandız is 172 [1] as of 2010. Balandız is an agricultural viilage. But during summers it is also a yayla (resort). Now an unused building is under renovation to be put into service as a village museum and a library . [2]
