The Bahrain Mirror (Arabic: مرآة البحرين) is a Bahraini Arabic and English electronic newspaper run by dissidents.[1] It was created on May 12, 2011 during the 2011 Bahraini uprising. In its first editorial Bahrain Mirror stated that it was created due to the reduction of press freedom after the Peninsula Shield Force arrived to Bahrain on March 14, which was followed the next day by the declaration of martial law and a three-month state of emergency.[2]
Bahrain Mirror states clearly that they are a part of the opposition that aims to achieve a real Constitutional monarchy where each authority has its independence and is not controlled by the king. They support the movement of February 14 led by February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition which led to the 2011 Bahraini uprising and support the demands of opposition political society announced in Pearl Roundabout in February and March.[2]
