Back to the Trenches is a double-CD by Scotland band Nazareth and is a collection of thirty-one professionally recorded live tracks taken from six concerts on both sides of the Atlantic from 1972 to 1984. Only nine of these tracks are featured as different takes on the band's acclaimed early-1980s double live album Snaz. A line on the CD sleeve says: "This brings you Nazareth in their element - up there doing it".
The CD comes in a book format with old photos interviews with Pete Agnew and Dan McCafferty the booklet has 54 pages. It also was issued on vinyl with the same things include on both format’s.
Pete Frame of Rock Family Trees fame was commissioned to draw up a Nazareth family tree based on info taken from an interview.
