Bargal (Somali: Baargaal) is a town of some 7000 people[1] in northeastern Somalia. It is a port town located on the Arabian Sea coast in the mountainous Bari region of the autonomous Puntland macro-region.
Bargal was the location of the Battle of Bargal in June 2007.
